Spring

The Season
of Formation

Learning the first steps of the dance

"We step away from all that was familiar and embrace the world with our unique, individual spirit."

Spring is the season of rapid growth and discovery. It is when we first learn the steps of the dance, figuring out how to move and perform in the world around us. It is also the season where our childhood conditioning and shadow are set.

During these highly impressionable years, our nervous system records every unspoken expectation, every emotional bracing and every grief. We learn how to hold our breath. The mind-body patterns and the rhythms we build in Spring become the unconscious foundation, keeping us safe, for the seasons that follow. We cross the threshold from being a child into a young woman with the biological shift of menstruation. We learn how to share ourselves with a romantic other and our path takes shape based on our generational conditioning. We release somatic holding patterns and establish a calm baseline for vitality or conception.

Summer

The Season
of Love

The era of profound building

"We forget to tend to ourselves during this vastly dynamic season."

Summer is the season of peak external energy. This is the era of profound building; careers, relationships and the physical and emotional challenges of fertility, pregnancy and mothering. Our menstrual cycle patterns are known and this pattern will carry itself into perimenopause, often much sooner than we are aware. The tempo of the dance accelerates. Our shadow begins to show itself subtly; the way our relationships continually follow a pattern; whether that is through the depth of love relationships or the people we have around us. They mirror us and are a wonderful insight into what we are holding and what we attract. Loss often takes hold in this season whether relating to becoming a mother or losing a close member of the family or a friend.

Amidst the demands of this season, we often learn to override our body's natural signals, pushing through exhaustion, unresolved feelings and steeling our nervous system to keep up with the rhythm. Our somatic practice here is about finding our own grounding tempo again, ensuring we do not lose ourselves in the momentum.

Moving beyond survival mode. Grounding the nervous system through sleep deprivation, identity shifts and the subtle transformation of motherhood.

Autumn

The Season
of Becoming

The joyous dance of coming home

"Autumn is the joyous dance of coming home to yourself, vibrant and free."

Autumn marks the great precipice of perimenopause into menopause and the emotional upheaval of letting go of that which does not serve us anymore. Changing rhythms and progesterone fluctuations are seen not as a loss of self but as a divine reclamation. During this monumental shift, there is a beautiful opportunity of re-finding ourselves and our passion in life. Each woman experiences the same changes of body and mind, wondering; where am I, who am I? You are not alone.

The path to somatics is through the physical and psychological conditions that begin to show themselves, with the hormonal drought. Through intentional awareness and movement, strength training and a newfound authenticity with self, we build an adaptable vessel that allows the shadow to finally exhale.

Just as the trees draw their energy inward and shed their leaves, this is a season of profound shedding. The fast, breathless dance of Summer must naturally slow. In this space, vulnerability is not a weakness, but a profound strength. It is an opportunity for a whole-being reset onto your true path.

Winter

The Season
of Wisdom

Deep roots and profound stillness

"She is free, she is passion with an overflowing abundance of love."

Winter is the season of deep roots and profound stillness. Walking your soul's path aligned with your authentic self. The noise of the external world quietens and the energy returns entirely to the core.

The dance of Winter is not about great physical exertion, it is about minimal, highly intentional movement that holds immense spiritual clarity. Here the accumulation of all of life's experiences are shared with those in our circle through teaching and love. Having integrated the shadow and adapted through the great shifts of life, the body becomes calm and balanced, a vessel of pure wisdom.

Meet Your Guide

A Lifetime
in Movement

I am Penny

"I know what it means to hold the weight of transition in your tissues. I am here to help you build resilience, release the physical weight of stress, stepping fully into your next season of being with joy."

Today, as a mother of two, I live with my husband and children. I am a Pilates instructor, ballet/dance teacher, birth and women's transitions coach. My relationship with the body began through discipline and performance. I had a challenging childhood so dance was this little girl's great escape. As a professional dancer in my younger years, my focus was entirely on following my passion through movement, fitness and what I consumed to sustain that level of output.

Over time, my focus shifted from how the body performed to how it healed. I began to explore the connection between the physical form and the internal landscape; yoga, Taiji, and meditation. This initiated a deep immersion into Eastern philosophy and psychology, eventually becoming a qualified shiatsu practitioner specialising in infertility, pregnancy and birth.

For many decades, I have been running a practice as a guide and birth coach. I have been trained in limbic system reprogramming and I learned how our nervous system and primitive brain hold memory, stress and trauma.

I am a Ramana Maharshi devotee and have woven my lifetime of experience into my practice. I became aware of myself early into my season of summer and began the inevitable healing. Since awareness quietly appeared in my life, I am dancing through each seasonal transition. Often the dance is pure improvisation built from a foundation of trust. Through each season I have made the slow walk home to myself. I reached where I needed to get to. My heart.

I am an integrative somatic coach, here to help you navigate fertility, postpartum, hormonal shifts and midlife changes with grace.

The Invitation

Life is a continuous, unfolding dance and at every threshold, you are presented with an invitation; to step onto the floor and move with the changing rhythm of your own biology. Working with chronic burnout, grief, boundary setting and life pivots through teaching the body how to feel safe going through transition. We do not stop dancing as the seasons change; we simply learn a new, more profound way of expressing.

How to Reach Me

Begin the Practice

The foundation begins with physical strength. Before we can release what the body is holding, we must build a vessel strong enough to support the transition.
